When you try to open a file in OneDrive you receive an error message similar to the following
"An unexpected error is keeping you from opening/copying/moving the file..."
Make note of the icon that displays in the Status column for the file. If it shows a cloud icon, this file is not stored locally on your machine, but in the cloud. You do not need to be connected to the VPN to access this file since it isn't stored on NAC servers.
To resolve this problem, try the following.
- Reboot your computer
- Make sure you are connected to the Internet. To verify, open a browser and try to access a website.
- Click the OneDrive icon in your taskbar
and make sure that OneDrive is connected and synched.
If you see an error message at the top of the OneDrive window, follow the instructions to correct it. You may need to log into OneDrive again. When doing so, you may be prompted to approve the login on your phone, so watch for that.
